A few months back, I got an email from Practical Parenting magazine here in the UK. You see, I joined their Practical Parenting & Pregnancy Parent Panel (that’s a lot of P’s!). They send out emails periodically which ask for quotes and tips on a variety of parenting issues and subjects. When I was contacted, there were two subjects that I felt I could respond to. One was pregnancy side effects…namely an expanding chest and what that meant to you! My quote is below accompanied by a picture of…

Setting up your own business may seem like an unachievable dream. If you’re on maternity leave, your own business might mean that you can stay home with your baby and avoid returning to your old job. Or if your little one is about to start nursery or school this September your own business could be an ideal way to boost the family income while still being there for pick-up time. Whatever your motivation, thousands of mums have started successful businesses, and you could do it too.
Setting up y…

Everyone needs to protect their skin from the suns harmful rays (even here in Scotland hehe :0) ) but it is particularly important for young babies and children to be sun safe.
Children should wear sunscreen with at least SPF25 to 30 and most these days are water resistant. Personally I use a sunscreen with SPF50 on my little boy and have done since he was a baby. As well as using sun hats etc and keeping him in the shade as much as possible. However this does get more difficult as they get old…

Top Tips For Cute Baby Clothes
by Alison Rothwell
Looking for hip baby clothes for your baby to wear is one of the joys
of parenthood.
Over the years, parents have narrowed this down to an art, finding and
picking hip baby clothes and making it seem that every day is
Halloween for their babies. There are plenty of parents that like to
dress their sons as football players and their daughters as a
princess, even if they don't actually dress their baby in scary
Halloween outfits. Lots love choosi…
